I am on a journey, a quest to find the perfect way to conduct business. Each day I move forward, upward on an exciting path of exposure. Day after day I try to do something different. Year after year I meet and learn from people of all cultures.
I have always loved to learn and I learn easily.
I have worked in the hospitality industry since I was tall enough to pass hors d'ouerves at my mother's catering business. I am a leader, who loves people looking for a position where I can utilize my 25+ years of experience, teaching, motivating and inspiring those who have made the hospitality industry their chosen profession.
I know what it takes to make an operation sucessful.
I am a firm believer that growth, whether it be personal or business, is contingent on aggressively educating oneselve on trends and conversing with people of all walks of life. Thirty years in the hospitality industry has exposed me to every kind of industry and people from almost every culture. During that time I have learned Japanese business customs, European values, as well as human truths for dozens of different cultures. I have also seen the latest in medical technology, computer technology, met or observed dozens of corporate heads including, Bill Gates, Howard Shultz, Auggie Busch, Lenny and Evelyn Lauder, Lee Iaccoca. Political figures, Ford, Bush, Clinton, Reagan. As well as too many celebrities to mention. I am a great observer. A great learner. I know what works!
I’ve spend many years building skill sets that I use on a daily basis. I am always studying politics, business and entertainment, keeping myself updated on where the world is heading which is where the corporate world is headed. Much of what I see troubles me. There isn’t as much honesty as there used to be. Politicians say what they think we want to hear. Companies will always respond with a yes whether they can deliver or not. And much of our youth think nothing of calling off sick if they have something better to do.
Everything I’ve learned in the hospitality industry tells me that change is the only thing we can count on. With competition fiercer than ever, it is the guest who dictates the rules. And if we follow their rules we will lose money and go out of business. So what can we do? Create an environment of honesty and trust.
Create a home, a family.
